Why
mulch? |
|
Aside from
enhancing landscapes a 2 to 3 inch layer of
mulch conserves moisture and reduces weeds. (Hint:
Begin mulching early in the season before weeds
start to germinate.) Play areas and dog
runs may have reduced mud problems with a layer of
mulch. Erosion areas may be minimized with an
extra thick layer of mulch. Wood chip mulch is
a wiser choice than chemical weed killers...and it's
organic!
Plant roots are protected during winter freeze and
thaw cycles. |
