taste by using meat meal,
fish oil, putrescent eggs, garlic and other naturally occurring
ingredients to deter deer from browsing.
In the springtime BOBBEX Products reduce stress brought on by late

Spray BOBBEX
on all parts of the plant including leaves, stems, and flowers.
For BOBBEX Concentrates:
|
|
In Spring & Summer (Fast Growth Times):
Dilute 1 part BOBBEX to 8 parts water.
Spray every 10 to 14 days*.
In Late Fall & Winter (Dormant times):
Dilute 1 part BOBBEX to 5 parts water.
Spray every 2 months*.
BOBBEX
should be sprayed between 35° and 85° Fahrenheit.
Note: Dilution ratio may vary based on deer pressure in your area.
In the
winter, cold weather, blustery winds, and frozen soils reduce a
plants ability to absorb moisture needed to maintain vitality.
BOBBEX provides retention of moisture in the plantings through
periods of frigid winter weather, in addition to deer deterrence. It
will also reduce damage from a late spring or early fall frost

Bobbex-R makes a great bulb dip to prevent
burrowing herbivores from smelling and discovering your wintered
bulbs. See instructions further down.

|
When
spraying concentrated BOBBEX, the most efficient method of applying
the product is a pressurized spray pump. Ask your local garden
center or hardware store, most carry several sizes and are
relatively inexpensive. These sprayers come in ½ gallon, 1, 2, or 3
gallon containers. |
| |
 |
|
 |
We strongly recommend using a new pressurized
pump sprayer. Pump sprayers that were used to spray
herbicides may cause harm to your plants.
|
|
Before spraying, make sure the plants are dry. BOBBEX will not stick
well to wet surfaces. Also BOBBEX will require 5 to 6 hours of
drying time to adequately adhere to plant surfaces.
Begin spraying in the spring when the plants are approximately ½
inch out of the ground. During this period of rapid growth, spray
the entire plant every 7 to 14 days or, for every 3 to 5 inches of
new growth, particularly buds and flowers. BOBBEX can be used year
round.
"Remember new-growth is unprotected growth. A repellent is
effective only as long as it covers the new growth."

Bobbex can reduce moisture loss in times of hot
summer drought and cold frigid weather conditions.
|
|
When applying BOBBEX, spray plant or section of the plant until the
BOBBEX first drips off the leaves. When the first drip appears, move
to the next section or plant. Plants should be wet but not soaking.
BOBBEX will leave a strong odor for about 24 Hours. After this time
the odor will be detectable only by deer.
Dilute only the amount of BOBBEX you intend to spray. Diluted
mixture should be used within 5 days. Rinse tank with a mild soapy
water solution and spray through the hose. Store the unused portions
of BOBBEX in a cool dry place. If BOBBEX PRODUCTS freeze they can be
used upon thawing.
|
| |
 |
|
 |
IF you are planning an outdoor activity, be sure
to spray BOBBEX two days in advance.
|
|

|
Using BOBBEX-R as a bulb protector will give your bulb a chance to
survive through the winter from burrowing herbivores and deer. Voles
use their keen sense of smell to find roots and bulbs underground.
BOBBEX-R creates a physical aromatic barrier around the bulb and
prevents these animals from discovering the bulb. In addition to
creating a natural scent barrier, BOBBEX-R also leaves trace
elements and nutrients beneficial to the bulb when it grows in the
spring. |
|
Bulb Dip Instructions
1. Remove all loose and dried plant tissue
around the bulbs
2. Dip bulbs in straight concentrated BOBBEX-R (right out of the
bottle). Allow bulbs to soak for 3 to 5 minutes
3. Remove bulbs from concentrate and allow them to air dry. This
protective coating also slowly breaks down to provide nutrients for
the growing plant
|
|
| |
 |
|
 |
Bulbs do not like being in direct sun light when
drying. Keep the bulbs in a shaded area.
|
|
|
|
NOTE:
The following instructions also apply to BOBBEX-R products.
BOBBEX can be used on certain vegetables. These are identified
below:
Fruit (flowering) bearing Vegetables:
i.e. Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Squash, Apples, Pumpkins, etc...
Spray BOBBEX liberally (as specified above) through the flowering
stage. As the fruit matures, taper off spraying. Or if you need to
spray try to avoid the fruit.
Wash vegetables thoroughly. |
| |
 |
|
 |
By July and August deer will
generally find other edible things in their more natural
setting.
|
|
Leafy Vegetables:
i.e. Lettuce, Cabbage, Kale, etc...
Do not use BOBBEX on leafy vegetables. BOBBEX contains stickers,
which allow the product to stick and last a long time on plant
surfaces. The BOBBEX will stay in the crevasses of the leaf and be
very difficult to wash off. BOBBEX does not make the best salad
dressing.
Herbs:
i.e. Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Parsley, Rosemary, etc...
Do not use BOBBEX on Herbs. For the same reason as leafy vegetables,
BOBBEX will affect the tastes of your herbs and be difficult to wash
off.
Rooted Vegetables:
i.e. Potatoes, Beets, Carrots, etc...
BOBBEX can be used on rooted vegetable plants provided the
plant-leaf will not be eaten. |
